We’re Boston’s Best Back Bay Residential Moving Company!
If you need Back Bay Movers, you’ve come to the right place. Not only are we the Back Bay’s best-reviewed residential moving company, we have over a decade of experience moving customers in and out of one of Boston’s more well-to-do areas.
Unlike the older Beacon Hill and North End neighborhoods, the Back Bay exists on what was once a tidal bay. In the late 1800’s, the city filled in the land and allowed construction on the new neighborhood. This is why, in contrast to so many Boston neighborhoods, Back Bay has an even Mahattan-like “grid” layout, making it much easier to navigate.
Back Bay Residential Moving Permits
If you’re hiring Back Bay Residential Movers, you need moving permits. It’s tempting to think that because the roads exist in an easier grid that it’s easier neighborhood for moving. And that’s partially true. But as one of the busiest neighborhoods in city, Back Bay gets a ton of foot traffic. Not only are tourists and shoppers visiting Newbury Street and the Trinity Church crowding the streets year-round — you also have workers at the various offices around Boston Public Library and Copley Square.
So parking is at a premium. If you’re moving on Commonwealth Avenue, Beacon Street, or anywhere in the Back Bay, do yourself a favor and get permits or have your movers do it for you.

Back Bay, Boston – Moving in the Winter
As with any area in Boston, if you’re moving in the cheaper winter months, you’ll need to be aware of weather. Remember, a good Back Bay Residential Moving Company is not the same as a snow removal company. And most firms cannot perform both services. So it’s important to talk with your movers to have a back-up plan in case the weather affects your moving date.
