Always insist on a Flat Travel Fee – Merrimack Valley Movers
One of the reasons we’re a popular Merrimack Valley residential moving company is that we always offer a flat travel fee. What’s a travel fee? Well, the flat travel fee covers all the time, gas, and labor costs it takes to get from our lot to where your move starts. Additionally, the same goes for the costs of getting back to our office once your job is done. This is different from some other movers.
Other companies will try to charge the hourly rate from the time they leave their lot and keep it going all the way until they get back. The problem with this approach is that there is no way to verify that the charges are accurate. With the flat travel fee, you’ll no ahead of time and won’t have to account for traffic. (The exception to this, however, is the time spent driving with your stuff in the truck. We do keep the hourly rate clock going when driving from your loading location to your unload location. But this way, you can verify the charge, since you’ll see us leave you the first location and arrive at the second.)
Moving Out of State? You’ll need an interstate moving company
Considering Merrimack Valley’s location just over the New Hampshire border, it only makes sense that moves between Greater Lawrence and the Granite State are fairly common. However, even if you might consider your move “local,” moving companies don’t see it that way. But once your move crosses state lines, it’s a different service entirely. So we’re happy to move you to or from anywhere in the Massachusetts part of the valley, we cannot move you to or from New Hampshire. You’ll need interstate movers for that. However, we do move anywhere and everywhere within the Bay State, including all the way out to Amherst or Springfield, and even down to the Cape and Islands!
