We’re well into the busiest part of the entire moving calendar, and Safe Responsible Movers is hiring! Our MA moving company is looking for a few good movers who are looking for work throughout the summer. Part-time or full-time job seekers are both welcome!
Who You Are:
Applicants with experience in the moving industry or who know to drive box trucks through Boston’s narrow streets will make great candidates! But experience in either is not required. The most important attributes you should have are reliability and punctuality, a good work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
You’ll want to work for us as a mover if you are any of the following:
- An artist or musician looking for reliable work with the flexibility to take off longer chunks of time
- Someone looking to get out of the restaurant industry and work something (at least closer to) standard hours, but without making the full transition into office work
- Someone looking to transition out of office work or a work-from-home situation. It’s not the most glamorous job in the world, but you’ll be moving your body, going to different parts of the city and state, and interacting with new people every day — so that appeals to you, come work for us!
- Anyone who is easy to get along with and has a strong work ethic

Simply put, we’re the best movers in Boston! And while we’re looking for new people to join our team, we want to make sure we keep our sterling reputation among our customers. We understand that moving is one of the most stressful experience people can go through. So we always do our best to make sure we’re fully prepared for every single job we do, and that when we do it, each member of our team is equipped to communicate clearly, respectfully, and often with the customer. There is nothing worse on moving day than a surprise — so we avoid those at all costs.
What the Job is:
It’s not rocket science. But it can be very hard work. And while to most people, that means the physical demands of the job — to us that’s secondary. If you take a job as mover, you’ll grow stronger, and you’ll get better at navigating a dresser through a North End staircase. If you want, you can learn how to parallel park a box truck. But we can’t make you any less annoying or any more courteous. Remember — it’s a stressful job not just to you, but to your customers and co-workers, as well. So it’s important that, while getting the job done professionally and competently, you can also maintain a calm and polite demeanor. If you come equipped with that skill, we can teach you just about anything else.
